Established

Romans 13:1, 2 “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorizes, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”
I once heard it said that we do not fight against flesh and blood.  But do we, I mean can sometimes the flesh and blood that we fight with be our own?   It is so hard to fathom that the highest authority in my life is the Lord; I mean I do not see Him but I obey Him.  Because I obey Him, His authority does exist. What that means is that everything that is contrary to God does not exist. An example would be in the law of the land that has established  it is OK to be gay; the authorities have set that in place.  Or is that from the rulers, the authorities of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm? If that is the case then for us who follow the Lord that authority does not exist.  We only give life to what we obey, to live by the spirit is life.
It is only through following the Holy Spirit who carries with him the authority that governs our life.  Today’s breakthrough is that by following the Lord, letting Him Govern are life, then we can be established. At my work, I have my own set agenda, but the authority there keeps giving me more responsibility. Today I challenge us to get rid of our own set agenda and let the Lord establish us as He sees fit. Dear Lord, I thank you for who you are and that you reign from eternity to everlasting,  may you establish the hands of our work this day as we submit to your authority in our lives. – Amen

Defender

In this economy and in this day in age we all face a multitude of hurts and pain. I am not referring to the so called mundane everyday things that we have come to find solace and answers about. You either know someone or that someone may be yourself who is so thankful for the things that the Lord is responsible for. We may even from time to time feel like we are the called and chosen ones when our prayers are answered or when we are given the strength. We say things like “The favor of the Lord is upon us”. Is it?

And if this is so then why do we have so much homelessness, broken families, hurting individuals and lost? Some things God has given us a duty to and today the Lord is saying to each of us: Psalm 82:3 “Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the oppressed, rescue the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked” I believe that our obedience is another person’s breakthrough. Have we ever thought that maybe today is the day to be like Jesus and to trade our prayers for the prayers of another, and to trade our lives f or theirs? In this season of giving do not count what God has in His Kingdom, but let us count what He has deposited into us. Lord I pray this day that you would answer all the prayers of lost souls, hurting people and the children- every prayer that they have prayed openly and silently when words were not enough, may our breakthrough come through leading the lost home one at a time.

Daniel 4:27 Therefore, O King, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue.
